- VCE lectures and information evenings
- Theatrical performances
- A wider offering of subjects and special curriculum experiences

Parent Contributions
Some subjects include materials and equipment that are provided to all students. We invite parents to make a Curriculum Contribution to help cover the costs associated with this subject so that the school can continue to provide these for all students. These vary and are specific to the subject and program students are enrolled in.
Non-Curriculum based activities such as Year Level Camps, Presentation Ball, Valedictory Dinner and the Formal must be paid in full before the event and cannot be added to payment plans.

CSEF Year 7 Uniform Package (SSR)
Victorian Government 2023 Year 7 students who are recipients of the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) in Grade 6 are automatically eligible to apply for the Year 7 Uniform Package through State Schools Relief (SSR).
In order to receive your uniform pack before the commencement of the school year, applications must be submitted as soon as possible.
What is in the CSEF Year 7 Uniform Pack?
The Year 7 Uniform Pack includes some of the basic uniform items needed to start secondary school. For Year 6 students commencing Year 7 in 2023, State Schools’ Relief will provide:
- 1 Summer Dress OR 1 Pair of Shorts OR 1 Pair of Trousers
AND
- 1 Shirt (short or long sleeved)
AND
- 1 pair of school shoes (lace ups or sneakers)
How do I apply for the Uniform Pack?
If your child was a CSEF recipient in 2022 you can apply for the 2023 Year 7 Uniform Pack by filling out an application form at the Buxwear Uniform Shop located in DSC’s Lyn Kelly Stadium. Please bring your child with you in order to try on and fit correct size uniform and shoes. DSC will submit the application to SSR on your behalf.
Parents will be contacted when uniforms items are ready for collection. Shoes can be collected from the General Office and clothing items can be collected from the Buxwear Uniform Shop.
SSR sends the College a voucher that lists every approved item for the student and the maximum purchase value that SSR will subsidise for each item.
Parents will need to pay any shortfall cost of uniform that is not covered by the SSR voucher. We will not be able to release the uniform unless that shortfall amount is paid at the time of collection.
Things To Note
- Only Year 7 2023 students who received CSEF in 2022 are automatically entitled to apply for only one uniform pack.
- Expired vouchers cannot be redeemed. All vouchers have an expiry date which is included on the voucher.
- If uniform items cost less than the stated subsidised amount on the voucher any unused subsidy cannot:
- be transferred to a different uniform item
- be used to purchase an extra item; or
- provided as cash to the school or the parent.
- If uniform items cost more than the stated subsidised amount on the voucher, parents must pay the difference before the uniform can be collected.
Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF)
School camps provide children with inspiring experiences in the great outdoors, excursions encourage a deeper understanding of how the world works and sports teach teamwork, discipline and leadership. All are part of a healthy curriculum.
CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.
If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.
The annual CSEF amount per student is:
- $150 for primary school students
- $250 for secondary school students
How to Apply
New applicants can download a CSEF application form here or contact the school office to obtain one.
If you applied for the CSEF at your child’s school in 2023, you do not need to complete an application form in 2024 unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.
You only need to complete an application form if any of the following changes have occurred:
- new student enrolments: your child has started or changed schools in 2024 or you did not apply in 2023.
- changed family circumstances: such as a change of custody, change of name, concession card number, or new siblings commencing at the school in 2024.
Check with the school office if you are unsure.
