The Canteen is open before school, at Recess and at Lunch. Students can order food for recess and/or lunch, or purchase what is available. Some hot food is available at lunchtime.

NOTE: Students cannot use their mobile phone to make purchases at the canteen (no exemptions). The Mobile Phone Policy states students must have their phones switched off and securely stored during school hours, including recess and lunch.
In the Canteen I have a responsibility to:
| Achievement | Make healthy choices for a balanced diet which includes drinking water to enhance my learning. |
| Respect | Follow teacher directions promptly. Be polite to canteen and parent volunteer workers showing respect. |
| Commitment | Be in full school uniform. Only when I’m in full school uniform can I use the Canteen. |
| Community | Line up while waiting to be served. Sit down on chairs never on a table. Line up with no more than 3 people per line in front of the windows. Enter from W side and Exit from E side to make crowd flow safe for everyone. |
How do I place a Canteen Order?
Students – At the Canteen
Students can fill out an envelope at the Canteen window before school or at recess. Write your name, LG and order on the envelope and place your money inside. The correct money is not needed – change will be given.
Students – Email Orders
All orders MUST be placed through your student’s school email address. To place an order email – canteen@drouinsc.vic.edu.au. PAYMENT IS TO BE MADE ON PICK-UP.
All orders by email need to be in by:
- Recess 9:00am (prior to the start of school)
- Lunch 11:30am (at the end of Recess)
In your email include:
- Your name and LG
- Your food choice – include any dietary requirements (eg. Gluten Free)
- Any drinks or snacks
- How you plan to pay – Cash / EFTPOS / Voucher
A return email will be sent confirming that your order has been received and how much it will cost. If your order is incorrect or you did not order these items, contact the Canteen via email immediately to avoid incorrect charges to your family account.
Parents – Phone Orders
Parents are welcome to call the Canteen between 9:00am and 11:00am ONLY to place and pay for a Lunch order for their child. Phone 5625 1002 and select the option for the Canteen. Payment will be required at the time over the phone by card. An email will be sent to the Student confirming an order has been processed for pick-up.
